A guided breathing exercise, one click from your work.

One minute of slower breathing between two meetings. Startwerk’s Breathe widget starts a guided breathing exercise right on your new tab: a soft light grows and shrinks with your breath while the rest of the page fades out.

A short pause, right where you are

You don’t need a separate app to calm down for a minute. Pick one of four rhythms, start, and follow the light: it grows as you breathe in, rests while you hold, and shrinks as you breathe out. Short prompts tell you what to do, and a countdown shows the time left.

If you like, a quiet meditation tone accompanies the exercise. It is generated in your browser, so nothing is downloaded.

Four rhythms to choose from

Calm

Breathe in for 4 seconds and out for 6. A longer breath out helps you settle.

Box breathing

4 seconds in, 4 hold, 4 out, 4 hold. Even and easy to remember.

4-7-8

4 in, 7 hold, 8 out, for winding down in the evening.

Even

5.5 seconds in and 5.5 out, a steady rhythm for longer sessions.
