A clean clock and search for Chrome’s new tab.

The time, the date and a search box: the three things a new tab needs most. Startwerk shows a large clock in the font you like and a search field for the search engine you choose.

Calm at the top of the page

The clock comes digital or analog. In digital mode, choose from seven fonts and normal, bold or italic. The date sits right below if you want it.

The search box sends your search straight to the engine you picked: Chrome’s default, Google, Bing, Ecosia, DuckDuckGo, Brave Search, Qwant, Perplexity or ChatGPT. Type “/” first and it searches your bookmarks instead.

Questions and answers

Can the clock show seconds or a 12-hour format?
There are no seconds. The time format follows Startwerk’s language setting.
Does Startwerk see what I search for?
No. Your search goes straight to the search engine you chose, as if you searched on its website.
Can I have a different clock in each Space?
Yes. Since version 1.6, clock, search, workday bar and bookmarks can be set per Space or pinned to all Spaces.
