Reopen closed tabs in Chrome with one click.

It happens to everyone: a tab closed a second too early. Startwerk lists your recently closed tabs and windows on the new tab, so you get them back with one click instead of digging through your history.

Get back what you just closed

Chrome already remembers the tabs and windows you closed last. Startwerk shows up to eight of them right on your new tab, with their names, and restores the one you click, whole windows included.

The quickest way without Startwerk is the keyboard: Ctrl+Shift+T on Windows and Linux, or Cmd+Shift+T on a Mac, reopens the last closed tab. Press it again for the one before. The Startwerk list helps when you want a tab from a few steps back.

What the widget does

Tabs and windows

Questions and answers

How do I reopen a closed tab in Chrome without an extension?
Press Ctrl+Shift+T (Windows, Linux) or Cmd+Shift+T (Mac). You’ll also find recently closed tabs in Chrome’s History menu.

Yes. Windows appear as “Window with 4 tabs” and come back with all of their tabs.
Does Startwerk read my browsing history?
No. It only shows the short list of recently closed tabs that Chrome keeps anyway.
